International Liberty Association: A Christian convert “Maliheh Nazari” was released on bail from Qarchak prison pending the trial.
Ms Maliheh Nazari was arrested by the security forces in plain clothes at her home in Tehran and was transferred to Evin Prison, on 30 June 2020.
After her arrest, for several weeks her family did not know her whereabouts. Then her family was informed that a court has issued a bail of three billion tomans ($120,000) for her temporary release, which was not possible for her family.
ILA: According to Iran Christian website, Ms. Maliheh Nazari, a member of the Tehran Women’s House Church, after three weeks of detention in Evin Prison in mid-August of this year, was transferred to Qarchak Women’s Prison in Varamin.
Ms. Nazari is a member of the “Church of One Heart”. The house church is for Christian women believers in Tehran.
This group of women, which includes dozens of middle-aged women believers, has no activity other than praying and worshiping God, and security officials have so far given no specific reason for detaining several other Christian believers in the church, including Ms. Somayeh Sadegh, Masoumeh Sadeghi and Ms. Mahkameh (Hengameh).
