Strong communities are built when people have access to practical support, opportunities to participate, and the resources they need to overcome everyday barriers. Through our work in Barnet and Brent, we support local families, children, young people and vulnerable residents through practical, community-focused initiatives shaped around local needs.
One part of this work is providing financial support to local schools, helping them respond to families experiencing hardship. This can include grants towards essential items such as school uniforms, helping to ensure that children are able to participate fully in school life regardless of their family’s circumstances.
We also work with local residents through community activities, workshops and outreach that help people build confidence, develop new skills and strengthen their connections with others. Our approach is designed to be practical, accessible and responsive to the needs of people living in Barnet and Brent.
For families facing hardship, migrants adjusting to life in the UK, older residents experiencing isolation, and young people who may benefit from additional opportunities, community-based support can make a meaningful difference. By working with schools, volunteers and local organisations, we aim to strengthen access to practical support, activities and opportunities that respond to local needs.
Our wider goal is to contribute to stronger, more inclusive and resilient communities. We want people to feel supported, connected and able to participate fully in the places where they live.
