Since 20 June 1981, more than 120,000 political prisoners have been executed in Iran. Their only crime was their desire for Human Rights and Freedom in Iran. During last year, over 2,000 executions have taken place of which many were carried out in public.

Following the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran, the theocratic regime in Iran embarked on a campaign to eliminate all opposition voices. Since then, over 120,000 people have been executed.
Many of these executions were carried out publicly.
The number of executions under the new president of the mullahs in Iran has increased sharply. The following are only a few of the articles which appeared in the press in 2016.
(Beirut) – Security and intelligence forces were the main perpetrators of human rights abuses in Iran during 2015, Human Rights Watch said today in its World Report 2016. In a sharp increase from previous years, Iran also executed more than 830 prisoners
In spite of the feel-good imagery, to believe that Iran’s regime has altogether transformed itself and might now be moving towards decisive domestic reform and a constructive role on the international stage would be naive and short-sighted.
Iran may have a president with a “moderate” profile – one whose smooth approach comes as a relief after the Ahmadinejad years – but that does not mean the authoritarian nature of the regime or the objectives of its foreign policy have changed.
Iran still ranks as one of the most repressive states in the world, and there has been no improvement.
Scores of youths in Iran are languishing on death row for crimes committed under the age of 18, said Amnesty International in a damning new report published today. The report debunks recent attempts by Iran’s authorities to whitewash their continuing violations of children’s rights and deflect criticism of their appalling record as one of the world’s last executioners of juvenile offenders.
Rouhani has made no serious effort to improve conditions in his country, whether for juvenile offenders, political prisoners or the Iranian people in general.
He has overseen over 2,000 executions during 2 ½ years in office (almost three times more than the former firebrand president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad).
These atrocities have coincided with a crackdown on pro-Western and pro-democratic sentiment inside and outside the country, including an 80-missile barrage on Iranian dissidents in Camp Liberty, Iraq, in late October, which left 24 dead and dozens wounded.
More than 2,000 people have been hanged under the so-called “moderate” leadership of President Rouhani.
Women are treated as an inferior species and regularly abused and repressed by the misogynist mullahs.
Many young women have been blinded and disfigured in acid attacks condoned by the State simply for the offence of not wearing their veil properly.
Since the “moderate” Rouhani took office in 2013, Iran has embarked on what Amnesty International calls “a staggering execution spree”, giving it the highest per capita state-killing rate in the world.
The targets for murder and imprisonment include journalists, Christians and anyone who can be viewed as a political or religious dissident – in obedience, as Rouhani said in 2014, to “God’s commandments”.
Over 2,000 executions and counting during President Rouhani’s tenure greatly surpasses his predecessor Ahmadinejad’s gloomy record, making the Iranian regime the world’s biggest executioner per capita. Dozens of those hanged were juvenile offenders. It is not possible to claim that those executed were given fair trials according to international standards.
…Those lucky enough to avoid executions have been tortured, or detained indefinitely in horrendous facilities, such as the notorious Evin Prison.
The photos tell their stories:
The last call before execution; don’t be afraid, my son. From tomorrow, you’ll find me by your side all the time.

Mum! I’ll miss Daddy. Who is going to take me to bed and tell me fairy tales, tonight?

My kind mother, I told you that I don’t want to have a grave for you to come and mourn there and suffer.
My kind mother, I told you that I don’t want to have a grave for you to come and mourn there and suffer. I don’t want you to wear black clothing for me. Give me to the wind to take away.
My son, you were everything I had. I promise to you I won’t let your legend to be forgotten.
