Mom and Her 2 Children Sentenced to 20 years in prison

International Liberty Association: According to an informed source, Zahra Safaei, her daughter Prastoo Moeini, and her son Mohammad Masoud Moini were sentenced by the Branch 23 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court presided over by judge Mohammad Mehdi Shahmirzadi.
Zahra Safaei has been sentenced to five years for “assembly and collusion” and one year for “spreading propaganda against the state,” one year for “spreading propaganda against the state”, and 2 years for “insulting Khamenei and Khomeini,” total of eight years imprisonment.
Safaei’s daughter Parastoo Moeini, has been sentenced to five years for “assembly and collusion” and one year for “spreading propaganda against the state” totaling six years prison.
Also, Safaei’s son Mohammad Masoud Moini has been sentenced to five years for “assembly and collusion” and one year for “spreading propaganda against the state.”
However, the court issued long-term and inhumane sentences against the three dissidents while they have denied the charges.
Zahra Safaei, born in 1962, is the daughter of a renowned merchants of Tehran Bazaar, Hassan Ali Safaei. He was a political prisoner under the Shah and was executed by the current state, in summer 1981.
ILA has previously reported that, on 28 June 2020, Zahra Safaei had been temporarily released from Qarchak Prison on bail of 300 million Tomans until the end of her trial. But she was rearrested on 26 July 2020, when she referred to the Prosecutor’s Office of Evin Prison to review her case and that of her daughter. On 27 July 2020, she was transferred again to Qarchak Prison.
