On the day that she should be immediately and unconditionally release and reunion with her husband and daughter in the UK, the Iranian authorities say she faces a second charge.

It should be mentioned that, Nazanin should never have been detained in the first place, and after facing a hardship over the last five years, she is now at risk of a second charge and yet more time separated from her loved ones, her husband and young daughter.

Boris Johnson has told Iran’s president, Rouhani, in a phone call that Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe must be allowed to return home to be with her family.

ILA: According to a statement from Prime Minister Office, on Wednesday. “The prime minister raised the case of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and other British-Iranian dual nationals detained in Iran and demanded their immediate release,”

“He said that while the removal of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe’s ankle monitor was welcome, her continued confinement remains completely unacceptable and she must be allowed to return to her family in the UK.”
