People of Borazjan city, southern Iran, have been suffering from the lack of drinking water since 3rd July and they began to protest against the disastrous situation on 7th July.
The protest started from Hospital Square and people chanted; Leave Syria- think about us, Neither Gaza nor Lebanon- my life is for Iran, Don’t scared- Don’t be scared- we are all together, One less theft- our problem will be solved,…..
Iranian authorities promised to solve the problem but people did not believe them and chanted: it is a lie, it is a lie, so that, Khamenei’s representative and Friday prayer imam of the city left the scene in fear.
There are many cities in terrible conditions of this summer, due to lack of water and electricity, while it is very hot. Recently, people of most of the cities in Khuzestan province have had demonstrations in protest of being deprived of drinking water.
According to TASNIM news agency, Shahin Pakrooh, the deputy of water and wastewater engineering company, said: 334 cities are facing the shortage of water this summer, out of which 107 cities are in the red situation. It is expected that Isfahan, Kerman, Fars, Khorasan, and Sistan-Baluchistan provinces will face a more severe crisis.
