A driver ran over two women with his car after accusing them of mal-veiling
Published by Ali on August 10, 2021International Liberty Association :On Sunday 8 August, in the city of Urumieh, north-eastern Iran, a zealot attacked two women for their veiling which he deemed to be inappropriate. The regime has sanctioned such attacks by allowing zealots to take the punishment in their hands under the pretext of “encouraging ILA: good and preventing vice”. In this incident, the person conducting the “encouraging good and preventing vice” ran over the two women by his car. According to local sources, the women were taken to hospital with serious injuries. Many experts have questioned this notion and have called it an intrusion into private affairs of citizens and warned that it encourages violence and lawlessness in the country.
