In Zabol Prison, South-eastern Iran, 45 years old prisoner was attacked and killed by prison’s head of intelligence at midnight Tuesday 16 May.
According to the reports, Gholamreza Rezaei, head of intelligence of Zabol Prison throw down Ramezan Koohkan from the top of a triple bunk bed. Witnesses said Gholamreza Rezaei began swearing at the prisoner before throwing him off his bed, on the top of a triple bunk. He died instantly due to concussion.
Prison officials sent the body of the prisoner to Zabol’s Amir-al-Momenin Hospital and pretended that he had died of natural causes. Prison officials reported that Koohkan’s death was caused by syncope.
Gholamreza Rezaei is the prison’s main drug dealer and uses his murder-convicted cousin in prison for distributing and selling drugs.
Ramezan Koohkan was one of his customers and was attacked for not paying his debt.
