A large group of Iranian prisoners being held in Gohardasht prison in the city of Karaj chanted anti-regime slogans during a protest on Saturday against the installation of high powered cellular phone jamming devices that causes health problems.
Prisoners in Section 4 of Gohardasht prison chanted “Down with dictator”, “Long live freedom” and “Down with executions.”
The installation of these devices is aimed at disrupting political prisoners. The jamming signals which are said to cause cancer have greatly endangered the health of prisoners. Many prisoner suffer from dry mucosa, muscle aches and severe headache, blurred vision, nausea and continuous numbness.
