Iran human rights exhibition in Trocadero Square – ParisPublished by International Liberty on July 31, 2015
Iranians living in France held a human rights stand in Trocadero Square in Parisc to raise awareness about the soaring rate of executions in Iran under the presidency of Hassan Rouhani. In addition the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in Iran was exposed.
A new wave of executions and group hangings has been observed in Iran since the July 14 nuclear deal. Faced with growing unrest and failing to address legitimate demands of a restless young population, the Iranian regimes resorts to more executions in order to control the population via fear and intimidation.
We call on human rights organisation and activists to condemn the executions and call on Western leaders to address Iran’s human rights record without hesitation.
