Iranian regime executed five prisoners 3 days, from 15 to 17 January 2018. Also a young man’s hand was amputated on 17 January in Mashhad Prison. He was accused of stealing sheep.
On Monday, 15 January 15, a 27-year-old prisoner was hanged in Babol prison. On 16 January two young men who were 19 and 20 at the time of their arrest, were executed in Mashhad and on 17 January two prisoners aged 30 and 33 were hanged in the Karaj Central Prison.
Another prisoner in Qom prison, 19 year old Abolfazl Chezani, who was arrested 4 years ago when he was 15, is also on the verge of execution.
The Iranian regime is scaling up execution in an attempt to intimidate the protestors. ILA calls on human rights activists and organisations to take up urgent action to stop this waive of executions in Iran.
