Aram Fathi, Civil Activist from Marivan, was Released on Bail

International Liberty Association: According to Civil Rights Activists, a poet and civil activist, Aram Fathi, resident of Marivan, was temporarily released on bail until the end of the court proceedings.

Mr. Fathi was arrested on Saturday, 4 January, 2020. He was released temporarily from Marivan Prison on Wednesday, 8 January, 2020.
The reason of Mr. Fathi’s arrest is unclear, but it was reported earlier that he had reported several anonymous threats against him, on his Instagram page.

ILA has learnt that, Aram Fathi, along with several Kurdish citizens who protested the execution of three Kurdish political prisoners Zaniar Moradi, Loghman Moradi and Ramin Hossein Panahi, and a missile attack on the Kurdish parties by the Iran Revolutionary Guards, previously, had also been arrested on Wednesday, 12 September, 2018.
